The FIEE Lighting Spain International Exhibition, held in Barcelona in June 2025, coincided with the first year of implementation of the EU's new "45% renewable energy share" regulation. As the largest energy technology event in the Mediterranean region, this year's exhibition featured its first "Photovoltaic-Lighting Integration Innovation Zone," attracting 83 multinational companies, including Schneider and Iberdrola. Chinese companies such as Sungrow and San'an Optoelectronics showcased their third-generation semiconductor technologies.

The "Solar Tree 3.0," exhibited by Spanish energy giant ACCIONA, integrates micro-wind turbines with cadmium telluride thin-film batteries. A single system can power 20 streetlights for 72 hours. Field tests have been completed in Seville's old town, demonstrating energy savings of 61% compared to traditional sodium lamps.

The "Mediterranean Lighting Industry Alliance," established during the exhibition, attracted significant attention. Led by the Spanish Electricity Association and participated by 12 organizations, including the China Illuminating Engineering Society, the alliance plans to establish a joint photovoltaic technology laboratory in Malaga. It is worth noting that from January to July 2025, China's exports of lighting products to Spain increased by 34% year-on-year, of which the proportion of intelligent control systems exceeded 50% for the first time.
