Iran News Agency reported on August 21 that the head of Iran's Ministry of Energy's Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization stated that according to government plans, Iran's national renewable energy generation capacity will increase from the current 2,000 megawatts to 7,000 megawatts by March next year. Currently, over 100 megawatts of new photovoltaic power generation capacity is being added to the system each week.
